Liveurope is the first pan-European initiative supporting concert venues in their work to promote European music diversity. Our key mission is to give incentives to concert venues to promote the circulation of emerging European artists through a bonus mechanism and a European quality label. Launched in 2014 with the support of Creative Europe, our platform gathers 24 music venues in 24 European countries and has supported 5000+ concerts with up-and-coming artists of 40 European nationalities.

We are looking for a communications and projects trainee (x/f/m) to join our small but dynamic team based at renowned music venue Ancienne Belgique, one of the founding members of our initiative. The traineeship will be carried out as part of the trainee’s studies and will start in late September or early October 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute actively to the development of communication strategies.
  • Support the rollout of online and offline communication campaigns (social media, website, interviews with artists and venues, printed material).
  • Help oversee exchanges between the member venues on the topic of mental health.
  • Collect and manage data, maintaining up-to-date databases (e.g. press contacts, venue programming information).
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of events, such as the Liveurope Festival.
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including contributions to EU reporting.

Profile

  • You are currently enrolled in a higher education programme in communications, cultural management, European affairs, or a related field.
  • You are passionate about live music and cross-border cooperation.
  • You bring creativity, flexibility, and strong organisational skills to your work, and you communicate in an open and accurate manner.
  • You have an excellent command of English (minimum C1 level), and feel confident writing engaging content about music, Europe, and international collaboration.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and have a basic working knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
  • You are curious about digital communication and have an interest in managing social media and websites.
  • You are based in Brussels or are willing to relocate for the duration of the traineeship.

What we offer

  • A 4 to 6-month full-time traineeship within a dynamic and passionate team, starting in late September or early October 2025.
  • A monthly stipend, public transport allowance, lunch vouchers redeemable at local partners, and access to concerts at Ancienne Belgique.
  • Daily professional interaction with 24 iconic European concert venues, all while being based in one of Europe’s most renowned music venues.
  • Workplace: Ancienne Belgique (AB), located in the heart of Brussels.

Liveurope is committed to representing the full diversity of Europe. We strongly encourage applications from individuals with ethnic and cultural minority backgrounds. Selection is based solely on competence, regardless of origin, gender, or background. Ancienne Belgique, the coordinator of the platform, is a forerunner in the area of ecology and sustainability within the cultural sector. Environmental considerations form an essential part of all our decisions.

To apply, fill in the application form before 19 July. The first round of interviews will take place on the 23 and 24 July.
