MEP Hélder Sousa Silva on the EU's role to strengthen cooperation in the cultural sector

While we were celebrating EUphoria in Brussels, we interviewed MEP Helder Sousa Silva (PT) to reflect on the place of music in shaping the future of Europe. 

He shared his views on how music unites people in the daily life. He argued that the European Union has a major role in supporting music and culture in Europe. In his opinion, we can frame it through 4 approaches: funding, innovation, policy and education. 

Concretely, the MEP shared what he sees as a goal: culture must reach 2% of the total annual budget.
