Before their upcoming shows at Posthof, we caught up with WYFE and Leatherette to talk about the European scene, their connection with the audience, and what excites them most on stage. Two different approaches, but the same passion for music. In a short chat, they shared what drives them and what the audience can look forward to.

Assuming the Austrian audience doesn’t know you yet. Why should they come to your concert at Posthof?

WYFE: Our main goal with live performances is to build a bridge of shared emotions. There is no separation between the stage and the audience. We try to bring everyone together in a unique, wonderful shared feeling experience. Live music is nothing without the people in the audience
And we promise that we will give our best and play with all our hearts to give you something that could connect you!

Leatherette: It’s the very first time we’ll be playing some songs from our new album live – so it’s also a little discovery for ourselves.
There’s something really special about experiencing new music together with the audience for the first time.

What do you hope for from the European music scene?
WYFE:  That it truly becomes one! We see many local scenes, but a real coming together across Europe would be the best way to give opportunities to young and emerging artists. We have so much in common - let's share the art and the artists!

Leatherette: We hope that it continues to produce exciting, honest music and gives space to new voices and ideas.

For the end, they are sending you a message  - Just come and see what's going on!
Catch them live on 5th and 6th November at Posthof!
