In memory of Steen Jørgensen

It is with great sadness that we received the news that Steen Jørgensen, VEGA's director between 2011–2025, has passed away after a short illness.

Steen was a passionate advocate for live music and played a key role in supporting artists and cultural initiatives across Denmark and Europe. He was not only deeply committed to VEGA, but also a key figure of Liveurope from the very beginning. As a member of the Liveurope Steering Committee, both at its founding and again before his retirement this spring, he helped shape the platform into what it is today.

Steen’s vision, openness, and dedication have left a lasting impact on Liveurope. We are deeply grateful for the time we shared with him as colleagues and friends, and he will be dearly missed.
