Daniel B (SK) at Posthof: On intimate songwriting, autumn melancholy, and a wider European stage
Slovak singer-songwriter Daniel B will bring his intimate, melancholic indie folk to Posthof, our Austrian venue in Linz, as part of the Ahoi! Liveurope line-up. Ahead of his show, he spoke to the Posthof team about his evolving sound and his hopes for Europe’s music scene.
How would you define your sound?
Daniel B: I usually describe my sound as minimalistic indie folk, a little autumn depression with nostalgic reminiscence here and there.
With my second record, I want to push my sound into a more structured soundscape, with a bit of rock guitars and synths incorporated into the same idea of storytelling and intimate songwriting.
What are your hopes for the European music scene?
Daniel B: I hope that the European scene remains authentic and musically rich, with every little corner being represented by local bands.
I also hope that the scene keeps reaching bigger stages and shows that we are artists with a global sound, whether we come from a big city or a small village.
Anything else you’d like to tell us?
Daniel B: A huge thank you for having me as part of your line-up at Posthof, I really appreciate it.
Keep doing what you’re doing, we are all forever grateful !
Catch Daniel B live at Posthof on 29 October 2026 !
